Ostrich meat contains higher protein, lower cholesterol, and a naturally tender texture. It’s comparable to kangaroo meat in terms of iron and protein content, but with a milder, less gamey flavor, plus a more delicate bite.
Ostriches have a lower carbon footprint than beef, pork, sheep, and chicken.
In further detail, ostriches require significantly less water - about one-third that of cattle - and use only 1/50th of the land needed for grazing, reducing deforestation and resource strain. They produce negligible methane emissions and generate only one-tenth the greenhouse gases of beef, making them a climate-friendly protein source.

Our ostrich is farmed in South Africa, as the quality control, facilities, and veterinary health care (for ostrich specifically) is far more advanced than currently in Australia. As the cost of living crisis eases, we aim to relocate our own farm to Australia, and turn into a farm lodge for families to visit us.
Our ostrich are raised on an outdoor farm where each ostrich has ~800 square meters of free space, and have ample space. They are tagged so that we can conduct bi-monthly veterinary checks. They are fed grass, succulent berries and seeds on a daily basis, despite these growing naturally on the ranch.
